Most people assume it’s a voltage spike. But usually, it’s simpler and more annoying than that: the quartz lamps just can’t handle the shaking and the heat cycles of a high-speed blow molding setup. Because if the filament sags even a tiny bit and touches the wall during a peak run, it’s game over. We made sure it stays put. The “Catch” (and how to handle it) These are drop-in replacements. You don’t have to mess with your wiring or rewrite your controller settings. It’s a simple swap. But there is one thing to keep in mind. Because these tubes are tougher and pump out more radiant heat, your machine frame feels it. Check your cooling fans. If they’re clogged with dust or the airflow is blocked, you’re just moving the problem. Instead of the lamp blowing, you’ll start melting your sockets. Keep it cool, and these things will last.
