Why Carbon Fiber Actually Works
Here is the thing about carbon fiber filaments: they heat up almost the second the power kicks in. Old-school metal coils are heavy and slow. They take forever to get going. But carbon fiber? It hits peak temperature in seconds. You can go from standby to full blast without that annoying “warm-up drift.” You don’t have to let the chamber “soak” in heat before you start working, which means your production cycles get a lot tighter.
The Balancing Act: IR and Forced Air
When you mix IR with a convection setup, you get the best of both worlds. The fans keep the general temperature steady, while the carbon fiber lamps provide that punch of high-intensity energy you need for searing or rapid curing. But you have to be careful. Pushing high wattage through short tubes creates some serious heat. If your oven isn’t built to handle that kind of stress, you’re going to warp your panels. To keep things from getting out of control, we suggest using a fast-acting PID controller. It stops the temperature from overshooting and saves your equipment.
